♥ A S S E M B L Y . T I P S

✔ ...Wrap:

Print "edge-to-edge" papers using the "borderless" printer setting. Best to use regular (thin) printer paper for the wrap as you'll be folding the sheets over your package. Tape a couple of sheets together for larger packages!

✔ ...Slider Tags:

Hole punch both edges and slide onto a pretty ribbon, string or raffia (shown in photos). You can also punch just one edge and write who the gift is for on the other (blank) side.

✔ ...Digital Art Print:

{ Cool Find } Free artist market research & product funding!

Ok, I'm definitely *psyched* about this new web find! It's called Kickstarter, and if you're an aspiring artist of any kind, then you'll be just as thrilled over this site as I am! Quite simply, Kickstarter is a "new way to fund creative projects". There are already a million ideas flowing through my head...!

Browsing through the site, I'm impressed by how many amazing projects are listed. It's a cool, functional resource for allocating back-up funding. This is a non-conventional, but very easy way to test market your idea on a community of peers. If your project reaches 100% funding then you receive the monetary funds needed to bring your idea to life! This is by no means a draw-back to this site - it just means that the money raised will only go to ideas that are supported by a large community of like-mind individuals who are just as enthused about your project as you are!

AND, if you support someone else's project, you're entitled to receive some very cool kickback! Whatever final product is produced from the money raised will be distributed in terms set by the artist to the community of supporters! It's all based on your contribution amount and the details of what you'll receive is listed on the project's information page. Tres chic!

{ Free Craft Workshops for Kids! } Lowes Build & Grow

Ok, if you know anything about me by now (shame on you if you don't), then you'll know that I love any activity that's FREE! And this is a pretty cool one. Read on. Read on...

I found out about these workshops through my dad. Well, kind of. He brought this magnet home and it remained plastered against our refrigerator for months before I actually took the time to read past the "Lowes" logo (shame on ME, I know)!

Ok, so here are the deets (eh hem, as in "details" of course). You register your "littles" online at http://lowesbuildandgrow.com for the workshop(s) you'd like to take them to, print out the registration form & then show up at your local Lowes on the scheduled date & time. That's it! Well, don't forget your child of course (it CAN happen)...

Once you're there, each child receives a free apron, goggles and a wood kit they can build. And the fun continues after they're done too. For each completed project, your child(ren) are given a certificate & a custom project badge which can be attached to their apron as a sign of their previous accomplishments (I was instructed that hot glue works best). Honestly, like I really need any additional incentive past the "free" part to be excited! Everything is quite literally a bonus!

There are upcoming workshops until the end of December! I suggest signing up directly in-store so that you can block off your space. And you can choose to go at 10am, 12noon or 2pm. The next two upcoming workshops (pictured above) are:

I'm always in love with finding a site that can inspire me on multiple levels. I always want to create something after visiting this particular website - and you gotta' love the fresh content & the designer layout! *sigh* ...in love.

This little "shin-diggy" actually piques my curiosity though! I go in there to "window shop" and to see what I absolutely MUST splurge on regardless if I knew I even wanted it or not! And the sweetest part of the entire experience? The sales tag. :D
