Creating a Website through your iPhone

If you take a peek at my iPhone, you'll realize that I have well over 250 apps all neatly filed into about a dozen or so folders. Needless to say, I need the 32gb next time around, but this post isn't about that. I've been scouring for a cool app that allows you to create a website straight through your phone, and I've finally found one worthy enough to be mentioned as a design inspiration. The makers of this little app claim that you can "make websites in 60 seconds". The final result is a Tumblr style blog, which I have to admit, looks pretty cool. And there are a variety of templates to choose from! Check some of them out below:

Straight from the horse's mouth: "Zapd is a super simple and fun app that lets you create instant, themed websites straight from your iPhone. No design experience or code writing is required. Just select a theme and then add photos, text or links. You're done."

Updates & What's New

I haven't been writing as frequently because I had almost (just almost) broken my wrist! YIKES! I had to walk around with my hand all bandaged up, killer pain and all. Then, karmic forces took over and I actually caught a cold! I've been limited to writing with one hand and checking website stats through iPhone, so unfortunately, no NEW freebies or designs! Let me just share some of the things I've been up to recently:

  1. Entered a DeviantART $1,500 Contest { view details & enter }
  2. Released the LG Design & Clipart Studios Website { view site }
  3. Implemented the Design Lookout QR Code { see it live
  4. Updated my Wattpad Romance Novel { start reading }
      So that's it! I'm just praying my wrist doesn't put me out of commission again. I'm thinking about creating website blog templates but first have to figure out how to implement them! If I could just find a decent, detailed tutorial (will keep you updated). And I've also been debating what new clipart designs & freebies I want to try & tackle with my "healed" wrist. I've even considered doing some pre-made logo kits.

      Decisions, decisions!

Just had to share some of the love with you with this freebie 'pink rhino' download! It was the first design in the entire collection and has been made available for purchase as a 4pc set in my Etsy Shop. I hope you enjoy! :D

      Fun & Addictive Etsy Sales Booster

      Ok, so what can I possibly be referring to you ask? I'm talking about lists. As in Etsy treasury lists! Not only do you have fun creating these easy, fool-proof "collages" (which is an art form all by itself), but you also gain exposure for your business as the curator and build relationships with others at the same time! How sweet. So far I've been personally featured in two treasury lists and been offered some items for free as a thank-you!

      Etsy treasuries I created...

      1. Playing in the Rain
      2. Going to Disneyland
      3. Hopeless Romantic
      4. Inside My Purse

      Mineral Makeup Eye Candy!

      So I'm all into Etsy checking out the latest and greatest items available and I come across yet another cool store with a really neat little product. I'm window shopping... my eyes are in full color abyss... and then the little hamster in my head gets on his wheel.

      This has all the potential of being a really fun and exciting business opportunity for anyone who loves makeup, especially if you're like me and enjoy the mad scientist experimentation aspect! Below is my inspiration { kudos to Noella Beauty Works } and a few resources where you can get your own materials.

      Photography-Inspired Paper Goods

      I love to discover beautiful photography. It always gives me ideas! Especially this one which is particularly funky and cute. The pattern in the background inspired me to create something totally 'damask'. So here is Design Lookout's first official Freebie!

      1. 'Princess Up High' by Paint the Moon Design { visit etsy shop }
      2. Blank Photo Card Templates from LG Design Studio { visit etsy shop }
      3. Matching 1" Stickers

      What You Get:

      You'll get the photo card layout in 3 colors - pink, blue and a brownish color I'll just call 'sepia', plus matching 1" sticker seals. Both items come blank, so just personalize by plugging in your own text and photo. You can use this template either in a horizontal or vertical orientation for weddings, baby showers... whatever your little heart desires!

      Inspiration for the Avid Book Reader

      There's nothing I love more than sinking into a warm, cozy comforter and reading until my eyes blur with exhaustion, but I have to admit I wouldn't mind changing my favorite reading spot after seeing these funky wood furniture pieces. I heart them! Kudos for creativity and the ability to mold a commonly-known rigid material into a sleek utilitarian design.

      I also couldn't help but laugh at the color-coded bookshelf because I obsessively color code my clothes so that it'll be easier to pick out outfits in the morning. Ironically enough, I still try on 10 different outfits before choosing one. If I had a library, however, this would definitely be in it. Touché!

      Mini Business Cards with a Full-Sized Punch!

      Have you seen the MOO MiniCards? They're half-sized (2.75" x 1.10") business cards which are ultra modern and cute. You can upload different photos for the back of each card, making this a fully customized find. I created the following card template for LG Design & Clipart Studio:

      Chocolate Covered Marshmallows

      Besides loving how yummy this treat is, I can also appreciate how you can take something so simple and easy to make and turn it into a really cool gourmet treat. The basic principle of any type of design, if you ask me. Perhaps I'll make some cute marshmallow clipart later on. Aesthetically pleasing - and delicious. Look at how appetizing these mellows can be - who'd thought?!

      Nice Vantage Point

      Good Morning!

      I woke up today with excitement about my newly created blog. Now I can finally jot down all the cool things I find. Sort of like a scratch journal of ideas and what-nots. The perils of my treasure hunting - arrrrghhh!

      So I attempted to make myself some breakfast and ended up eating a rolled up salami and pepper jack cheese stick. Go figure. I guess my excitement was just too much to actually allow me to put this off. And by this, of course, I mean talking to myself.

      From here on out, I'll just write quick posts - well, if I can ever stop talking - about what I absolutely love. Things I've discovered. Current tutorials I'm working on. iPhone apps I would die without. No, seriously. And all that good stuff that allows me to do what I do @ LG Design & Clipart Studio!
